It's a shame Google is doing nothing about this. They take our money and wash their hands it seems... I have 2 Google Home Hubs and 1 Google Home Hub Max, the Max can keep streaming for HOURS and when it "fails" it just opens the camera feed again (which means if you did a zoom it will just lose that zoom)... Is Google forcing us to spend 3x more to get the expensive version that works then?

Slowly switching to Amazon products. Seems to be superior reliability. Will dump Google. If you want cheap stuff dm me

Google ruined nest. They destroyed a perfectly functional product. They clearly have no intention of any development of the product, they just bought it to stop people going to a superior product then dumped it.
I still have this same issue as everyone else world wide. There’s only one working solution. Keep the nest product but ditch the goggle junk, nest works seamlessly and flawlessly with Amazon Alexa. Users- my advice, make the change ASAP and never look back. Google - my advice, stick to just being a search engine and stop trying things outside your skill set.

But Alexa only streams for 30 min!!!

Mine works indefinitely. Even if others only display 30 seconds for some bizarre reason, Is that not better than 30-90 seconds that Google does before it says “camera not available”?…

Hey, what exact Alexa product do you use? My Google hub max streams forever but my normal google hubs stream for a few hours or a few minutes… Alexa Echo 5 only streams for 30 min or less, also buggy…

Show 10 3rd gen.

And just to confirm, it does display only for 30 min on that one too? I can’t display for only that time since I use this as a baby monitor. It used to work for more than 48 hours without disconnection…

We've had this problem with the Google Nest Display, and turned out it was our Google Nest Wifi Router not able to support mDNS. We switched to establishing a Wifi connection to the AT&T router just to get the things to work with the Nest Cameras. This solution was implemented 6 months ago, with moderately high reliability- though not foolproof.
Recently, in the past month, the problem started happening again after a SW update on the displays. The displays drop the camera feeds after 2-5 minutes. This is unacceptable given the price we paid for multiple premium cameras, plus multiple displays, and WiFi solutions.
