I was able to connect to my wifi camera this morning before work. When I got home from work I went to check to see if anything had happened while I was gone, and my camera was no longer showing up in my app. Very strange to me. It's a new one for me, and never had done this before. The light on it is solid like it's connected to something. What is the deal with that?

Thanks for bringing this up to me, I'd love to take a look into this for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This might be helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.
