My 2 Google Nest cameras are assigned directly to my Google Mesh Hub (which is tied to my Xfinity modem). Recently, one camera, the farthest from the Mesh Hub, has been dropping. The Hub and the camera cannot be moved closer. I have Mesh Points that are closer to the Mesh Hub and to the camera. But I am unable to get the camera off the Mesh Hub to reassign it. How can I move the Nest camera off the mesh Hub and assigned to a closer Mesh Point? Thanks.

Hi jgat,
Thanks for sharing that with us. Quick question: what type of camera do you have? You can update the Wi-Fi setting of your camera that’s closer to your other Wi-Fi Mesh point. You have two ways to do it. First, is to update its Wi-Fi settings or remove and re add it to the Nest app or Google Home app.
Here’s how:
Follow the on-screen instructions. Scan the QR code at the back of your camera when prompted. Have a look at this guide: Change camera and doorbell Wi-Fi settings.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
JT

Hey there,
It's me again. I want to make sure you're all good — did those steps work?

Hi. Thank you for your response and help. The camera in question is in a very difficult area where I cannot reach it to use a bar-code scanning. However, when I moved around some Mesh points, I found that the camera reconnected to a closer point and now gets a better wifi connection. So everything is now good.

Hey there,
Perfect, we’re glad to hear that! As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this thread as complete. I'll be locking this thread if we won't hear back from you again in 24 hours. Should that happen, feel free to create a new one if you have more questions or have other concerns in the future.
Cheers,
