Would someone tell me whether the cable in the package of Nest Outdoor Cam(Battery) is weatherproof?

The distance between the position I want installing the cam and outlet is 2 feet, I just wonder whether I can use the cable in the package as weatherproof cable.......

We've had a battery camera for over 2 years now, plugged in with the optional 10-meter power cable. The 1-meter charging cord that comes with the camera is not designed for outdoor use and is not weatherproof. In fact, judging from other posts in this forum, I'm not even sure it's technically designed to power the camera on an ongoing basis, because some customers have issues trying to use the 1-meter charging cord as a power cable.

It's too bad Google Nest only has 5-meter and 10-meter choices for power cables.

Please note also that, if you're going to have your camera plugged in, you have to have it plugged in when you install it, or you may have to remove it from the Google Home app, do a factory reset, and then reinstall it in order for the camera to recognize that it is plugged in.

For the Battery version, the included cable is a charging cable and it is rated for indoor use only. There are weatherproof cables available separately for purchase.
