Yet again....Home/Away (not) Assist

Fail.  Epic fail.  Second level support incapable of responding.  

The elephant in the room ?    Nest's lousy software on their servers.  They failed to consider Roger's Law when they designed Home/Away Assist.  The Law of 'What If?'.

As in "What If" when the mobile sends a signal to their servers that it is now 'Away' but their servers are too busy to act on the signal AND when they designed the system they made no attempt to acknowledge back to the mobile that the signal had/had not been acted on...so that if there was no response, the mobile could resend....

And what's all this about "the Nest app stops using the mobile location if you're at home for several days' as reported by one support person ?

Again, posing the question to second level support yields a zero response.
