floodlight camera offline

Hi. I have to floodlight camera. It just started saying offline and i cant get it to reconnect. The lights work and when I look throught activities I see it works and captures motion I cant see it on the home screen because it says offline

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having offline issues with your Nest camera with floodlight. Let's work together to get this resolved! To help with that, I have a few questions for you:

  • Is there a light on the camera? If so, what color is it?
  • When did the issue start?
  • How far is the camera from the router?
  • Have you made any recent changes to your Wi-Fi network, such as changing the password or upgrading your router?

Hi, Zoki-

I have 2 floodlights that started showing this behavior the last 2 weeks (seems to coincide with the timing of the install issues others on the communities board are having).  The Home app shows them offline, but they respond to network pings, send motion alerts, recognize faces, and I can watch the video that is recorded on the Home app.  So they ARE online and working normally but they simply just show 'offline' in the app.


I found if I cut the light switch off that they are connected to  and let them run on battery for about 5 minutes, they start showing on-line again.  That process works with both cameras.   No idea why that works, guessing bug in latest SW (that's happened several times over the years), something wrong on at the backend, or something up with the Home app--but that's just a wild guess.

Cameras are on SW ver 1.73.1.73c 416403
