including Nest camera/floodlight with Nest phone app

Hello,

I have setup the Nest camera/floodlight in my Google Home using the QR code.  How do I get it included in the Nest phone app?  I have tried adding it as a new product but it tells me to do it through Google Home.  Must be something simple I am missing.

Sadly...i just did the same thing and have been met with the disappointing news that the new "nest" camera can only be used thru Google Home app.   It appears to me that they are phasing out the Nest app.   The problem I have is that I cannot login on my desktop to the Google Home app to see my camera feeds and make adjustments that way.   It's just sad when a company makes changes to "better serve the customer" and they end up making things worse.

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration. 

 

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
