I'm having the same problem. I have a Gen 2 wired doorbell. It worked great for about 3 months and then would no longer connect to my WiFi. I've tried multiple times to reboot and get it working again. All other devices in my house are connecting just fine so I believe it is a problem with the doorbell. Unfortunately, you can't just call Customer Service at Google and get any resolution over the phone. So, I am frustrated as well, and I'm getting pretty close to the 1 year warranty period so I need to find an answer.

Hi everyone,

@nothavingfun, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, how was the reset done? What is the light status of it? Are there any appliances in between your Nest Doorbell and router that can interfere with the wireless signal?

@getwilk, how far is it from your Wi-Fi router? have you tried resetting it to the factory default?

To reset:

1. Locate the reset pin hole on the back of the doorbell.

Tip: The reset pin on the Nest Doorbell 2nd gen (wired) is located above the QR code on the back of the doorbell.

2. Insert and hold the pin (you can use an unfolded paperclip or a thumbtack):

  • At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you'll hear a countdown tone.
  • At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the doorbell starts the factory reset, and you'll hear a confirmation tone.

3. Release the button. Your Nest Doorbell will restore to its factory settings.

4. After the factory reset, your doorbell will appear as “Offline” in the app until you remove it.

5. To remove it from the app, open the app, then tap Settings> Remove device> Confirm.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Emerson
