I have a preexisting google home setup with one camera, a nest hub and 5 nest thermostats and several other devices. I tried for over two hours to add a new camera today. I can not get past the “Can’t Connect to Assisting Device!’. I unplugged the other camera and still same issue. There has to be another way to add this new camera without making a Whole new Home and reinstall everything, that will take hours. This is google!!!!! Why isn’t there a simple resolution for this. I think I may need to return this new camera and just get another Ring camera.
SIDE NOTE! And this new Google Home app sucks compared to the nest app. NEST app I have used for a good couple of years without any issues. The lay out and everything is so much better.
