When something is working usually the government will find a way to wreck it. Google didn't get the message.
Not sure if I am angry at Nest for selling out or Google for ruining it but I'm tapping out. We have a Ring system at our cottage and I have never had the nightmare headaches that Google happily provides so I just ordered Ring cameras. I can hook them up and forget about them. They work great.

I don't blame you one bit. I'm still hanging in there with Nest cameras but it has often been a nightmare over the years. And google is SOOOOo out of touch always blaming evening other than their backend servers which is where I'm 100% certain the problems lie.

I'm 100% with you. I have a dozen plus camera's and been a long, long time Nest user. Everything just worked back then. I've continued to support and purchase the latest cam's moving about half my environment to Google and it's been nothing but a nighmare. Spent hours on phone with tech support, helped identify several repeatable bugs and still, the basic functionality of capturing and playback seems to be elusive. But hey, I have some really cool AI captions for the few times the cameras work! Ugh. The good news is my old Nest cams and app are still working solid. But for how long? Like you, I give. The breaking point was not capturing video of a security related event. My fault.. I had lots of warning signs that this wasn't a solid solution. So, like you, I'm moving on.... (rant over)
