App not showing on store?

I’m trying to get the NBA app on my brand new 4K Chromecast with google TV in Australia. The NBA app does not exist anywhere on the store.

I set up a separate Chromecast with google TV for my mum yesterday, and I could find and download the NBA app easily, just like any other.

Why is the NBA app not in the store on my new device?

I can cast the game from my phone, but would prefer the app on my Chromecast.

Thank you for contacting NBA Support.
 
The app is temporarily unavailable through Google Play. This is a very recent occurrence and we are working to resolve this as Android devices are currently supported. A new version of the app should be on the Google Play app store soon but we do not have a current ETA on the exact time.

I am having this same issue (but I'm in the US). Have tried everything, even getting both the HD and 4k version of the chromecast device. When I sign into the google play store on my laptop, I can find the NBA app and it says it is incompatible with the chromecast device. The NBA app indicates it should work on gen 3 and above, and other people seem to be watching the NBA app on their chromecast with no issues.
