Assistant will not work with Chromecast voice remote

I just got Chromecast with Google TV and Voice  4K.

When I press the Google Assistant button on the Chromecast Voice Remote, I get the message, “Sorry, I am not This pretty much means I don't really have a "Voice Remote" unless I can get this working. available in this profile yet.” 

I have not set up any profiles, just my own account.

Not sure where to go from here.

This is working as intended if you have app-only mode enabled. You'll need to turn off app-only mode if you'd like to use the Google Assistant features.

1. From the Google TV home screen, select the settings cog and then Accounts and sign-in.
2. Select your profile.
3. Turn off apps-only mode.
