Hi all,
I have a simple request, set up a new CCwGTV in my media roon ,via a projector ,and Ihad to purchase a HDMI audio splitter with an optical cable to my vintage Sony receiver that does not have any HDMI ports, It works great on all our local channels , YouTube , etc , but when browsing the Netflix app , audio is fine for the trailers etc but as soon as I want to play the actual movie there is no audio ? Some Netflix shows are in 5.1 whatever that is and zero sound , but some without the 5.1 sign , I have sound , Very frustrating to say the least . Ive read numerous posts saying that its a Google issue ? Any HELP ! would be great , thanks again , Thommo.

Netflix uses Dolby Digital Plus audio format to deliver the multichannel audio soundtracks.
You need an AV receiver with Dolby Digital Plus decoder built-in.
In your case, if you still want to use your current AV receiver, when watching Netflix content, always select the stereo audio stream.

Hi mate, thanks for the advice , gave it ago but being not up to tech stuff I really didn't know what I was doing . So I logged into the Google TV settings , went to the sound tab, turned off the Automatic switch and changed to the Mannual one , turned off the Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus selections and left the Dolby Digital one on , and hey presto , I have sound watching Netflix movies,
Thanks again bud Thommo.
