BBC Iplayer freezing

Hi

I have recently bought a Google TV in the 4K version, mainly for the purpose of watching the solid 22 seasons of Top Gear. However there seems to be a problem the casting of the Iplayer. The image suddenly freezes for a good 4-5 seconds, then back to normal for a second and then freezing again. Sometimes I can watch 20 minutes and some times it starts immediately. I have seen on Reddit that it only seems to be a issue on the 4K version, so i really do not hope, that I have wasted my money on a rather expensive and not-working Chromecast.

Please respond if you have experienced similar or have a solution 🙂

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about that. Is this only happening with the BBC iPlayer app or across all apps? Please clear the cache and data of the BBC iPlayer app and reinstall it. Rebooting your Chromecast and Wi-Fi router might also help.
