Can't Add Device (Soundbar) Chromecast 4K

I recently bought a brand new Chromecast 4k maybe 2 weeks ago. Had no issues with initial setup and update but have not been able to add a device, in particular the soundbar, at all. Consistently get "Something went wrong" after clicking on soundbar. 

I have factory reset multiple times, cleared the data in Android infrared service (as suggested elsewhere) multiple times, and ensured that the remote software is up to date along with the system software.

I would prefer not to control the soundbar using bluetooth. Any other options to try?

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Kindly check if your Android TV OS build is STTK.230808.004.10714782, then perform a factory reset one last time to see if it helps. If it still persists, we may need to forward this to the support team.
