Even though this HELP article clearly states you can do it, there is no "Add another account" button to be found. It only offers the option to add a child's account.

If got this issue the other way around.
At one of my device's I only got the option "Add another account", but I can't create child accounts.
On my other device (same software) both options are available..

Yes, both are running QTS1.210311.008.7350836
But on the one with the option to add child accounts I have already added them a few weeks ago (before last release). Now I wanted to do the same on the second one, but I don't have the option.
EDIT: i found another difference. On the one without the option to add children accounts, also Stadia isn't showing as a connected service. But it does work.

The kid account is added under your account.
Another adult account is added through manage accounts option.
When was the last time you rebooted devices by unplug them from the mains power grid?

Yea, I know but the 'add child account' isn't visible so nothing I can manage through my account.
I rebooted this morning again to try something different, but still no luck. I don't want to do a factory reset but i think that will be the only solution

Yes as far as I can see. Location and language is the same, not sure if there is also a region option?

I already started that, but the only option is to remove my account and then I get the warning that all settings will be erased and the device will be set back to all default settings, so that sounds like a factory reset haha

Hey there Krombopulos,
You should be able to add a regular Google account as well as a child's account. If you go onto your Chromecast with Google TV, and you go to Settings, then Accounts & Sign In, do you have the option to Add a kid as well as Add another account? If not, what do you see on that screen?

I have this same issue. I've added my wife's account, but there doesn't seem to be a way to switch to it.

Hey there Krombopulos,
Are you trying to set the account you added as the primary account on your Google TV? Adding another account really only works on in-app management. You can use other accounts on Google TV on apps like YouTube, but recommendations on the Google TV home screen are based on the primary account's activity.

What do you mean by "set"? I'm trying to switch profiles from me to the other user that I added that you can see in my 2nd screenshot above. In the 1st screen shot you can clearly see that it says "Choose an account". Why can't I choose the user I added under "Manage accounts"?

Hey Krombopulos,
What I meant by "set" was me asking if you were attempted to change the primary user from one account to another, which it looks like you are. The ability to switch the main Google TV user is a feature that is on its way, but it is not released yet. The function of adding more accounts right now is more app specific, such as the user on YouTube or Netflix.
Also, unfortunately, I do not have access to view your Google Photos. The forum should have an ability to embed screenshots into your post, so that's the best way for other users to see images!

I'm not sure why. I tested this out myself before posting the links. I opened an incognito browser & viewed both photos without issue & without having to sign in. I tried it again just now & still works fine.

I tried this feature on my second post/reply to show my version number. As you can see from the broken image link, it did not work. That image was uploaded using the "Insert Photos" button in the toolbar (icon of a camera). This is why I switched to public links to photos. You should probably try it yourself & if you also find it doesn't work maybe you can report it via your channels.

Thanks for sharing that article! I just confirmed with a higher tier of support just yesterday that the feature has been delayed, I'm not too sure when they plan to release the feature, unfortunately.
As for the Google Photos, I was able to access them when I went into Incognito Mode, but I was not when I was logged in. I'll keep that in mind for the future, so thank you for that!
I know I've seen other embed images on the forums, let me give it a test:
This is an image I downloaded, then uploaded. Did you try posting the images via URL when it didn't work? If so, I'll bring it up with the Community Manager if the feature is not working.

I just tried to upload an image and that option is no longer available. Interesting.
So here is a test using your same image that I published on my own site. I used the "Insert/edit image" option that has since been renamed (used to be "Insert Photos"). When I click on preview, the image appears correctly, at least to me. Hopefully you can also see it.

That is interesting, I only see the broken image link with the name next to it. I'll go ahead and talk with the community manager about that to see if there is anything they can do about it.

Hi Jeran.
I had the option to add a new account, but the option to add a child wasn't there. Because the other device did work I knew how it should look like.
Last week I did a factory reset and added my account again. Now I was able to add the child accounts as well.
So it's fixed now, but I think I will never know what causes this bug..
