Why can't I record on to a USB flash drive instead of recording onto main memory

Hi @Coby 

It is possible to use an external USB drive for your storage on the Chromecast with Google TV.
Please check out THIS link. Please note you need a USB hub that has an external power supply otherwise the USB drive doesn't receive enough power to operate.

Thanks Dan but apparently device does not have a content provider for SAF (Storage access framework) used in android 5 and above to grant permissions on external folders. The program I'm using is a iptv Extreme Pro just want to record onto USB flash drive to save storage on Chromecast
