ChomeCast YouTube options not working

I haven't been getting the voice options to select video from the list you get when asking the assistant "Show me x videos on YouTube on (Chromecast device)". On my Android TV and ChromeCast with Google TV, I can no longer say  "Show more, go back, or select video from the list." The list does show up on screen and I can select with remote control, but assistant is quiet.

On my ChromeCast Ultra I get the usual response "Showing alternatives, which one would you like", but no options show on screen instead.

What is going with this on these last months?

Hi, I was in contact with someone on the Chromecast team and they said it's most likely the Chromecast YouTube app, since it was updated this spring. I will have to take it up with the YouTube support.

I'm sorry to hear that your Assistant isn't functioning properly! I can imagine this issue is pretty annoying, so I'd be happy to help out where I can. First, I would make sure that your Google Home app and any device you are using, such as the Chromecast and Android TV, are up-to-date on their software and firmware. If the problem persists, go ahead and clear the Google Home apps cached data, and the Assistant apps data if you are using the Assistant mobile app. Finally, if that doesn't work, you may need to reach out to the Google Assistant Forum for further troubleshooting.
