Chromecast 4 HD in standby

Hello,
Is it normal that the LED in Chromecast 4 HD still lights up after pressing the turn off button on the remote control?

I noticed that the LED glowed the same both when I turned Chromecast off and when I turned Chromecast on.
Doesn't Chromecast go into standby mode when I turn it off with the remote control?

Yes, that is totally normal.

The indicator tells you that the Chromecast has power and is ready to work when you need it.

Chromecast devices never turn fully off and that light only goes away when you unplug it from the wall.
