Chromecast control got stuck in update (Failed) with solid light

My Chromecast controller was working when I figured out it stopped working and the LED got solid, a couple of hours passed and nothing changed, I started using my phone and checked under Chromecast settings and said, that a new firmware was available for my remote, so I selected it and just a couple of seconds it showed "remote update failed", but the remote got still stuck with the with the white LED solid. Actual Firmware 22.2

Procedure I have made:


1. Turned off the Chromecast and disconnected from the TV and router. The remote LED turned off after 2 minutes, then took out the batteries, and get connected again, soon as everything got connected, the Led got solid with still showing update failed.

 

2. Tried to do a factory reset (holding the home button) and then connected the batteries, but the LED never flashed keep holding home for about four minutes and nothing changed.

 

I don't know if forgetting the remote will fix anything, but any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

UPDATE: The guys from Made by Google (Twitter) helped me out.

1. Forgetting Remote (Remote still with Solid LED)
2. Leave Remote without Batteries around 5 minutes.
3. Get remote to pairing mode and connect it again.
4. Update firmware (24.7 and working)
