For some reason when the remote of the Chromecast is using CEC the power button is able to turn off the TV but it does not turn it on which is very strange. When you are using the tv remote you should hold the power button to turn on the tv for couple of seconds. It does not turn on with a single press of the power button. The volume up and down buttons on the Chromecast remote does not work via CEC as well. As far as I know the TV support Viera link which is based on CEC but it is with extended functions. The TV is like 15 years old and it is still working great cuz I don't use it too often. I'm not planning to replace it soon, so can we fix this issue somehow or I should use the remote in IR mode?
