Chromecast keeps rebooting

Every 15 minutes or so my chromecast  w google tv reboots. I have it Powered to wall and I've tried switching hdmi ports. Nothing is working.

Hi Jarrington,

Are you using the Google supplied power adapter? Rebooting usually happens when the Chromecast is underpowered by a third party power adapter or TV USB port.

Yes Jennifer.  I've made a new discovery.  Seems its my television rebooting instead of the chromecast.  But the chromecast is causing it somehow.  I have a vizio tv with smartcast.

Hello there,

 

Thanks for getting back to us. Please try to reboot your Chromecast and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV. Resetting it again and plugging it on a different TV screen might also help.
