Chromecast remote not working

I have google tv and my chromecast remote will not work, I have changed batteries and it will still not work.

Because you've already checked your remote's batteries, here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

• Follow this article on how to Reboot your Chromecast.
• Make sure the battery compartment doesn't have any leakage or oxidation that might prevent the battery contact
• Unpair and reset the voice remote by going to Settings>Remote and Accessories>Chromecast Remote>Forget
