Chromecast ultra is not connected to WIFI after set up in Google Home

Hi i have recently changed the wifi network and re-set up the chromecast ultra on my TV. After the set up on Google Home, it keeps saying that the device is disconnected from wifi. The chromecast is literally just 10cm away from the router. I have tried all the solutions recommended in the google community eg. restart router, factory reset chromecast, restart tv etc. However the issue is not fixed. I don't think there is any issue with my router as all my other google nest cams work fine. Has anyone faced the same issue with a proper fix?

Hey there alicealice,

I apologize for the late response, and thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that connection issue? If not, I'd be happy to help you figure it out. Just out of curiosity, are you connecting to a 2.4GHz network or a 5GHz network? If you're connecting to a 5GHz network, make sure your router has the network set to a lower channel range, 36-48 to be precise.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran

Thanks for getting back to me and nope the issue still not solved yet. I tried to connect to both 2.4 and 5GHZ network but none of them worked..

Hey alicealice,

Chiming in, what is the make and model of your router? Also, to eliminate network issues, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Chromecast ultra).

@TBY: What specific Chromecast device do you have? Also, what is the cast firmware version?

Cheers,

Muddi

I have very similar problem. Still not connecting to new network which is eero 6, the new technology.  It connects back to old wifi. But never comnects to eeros 6 wifi not matter the hard resets, factory reset, fresh download of home app, the forget last wifi deletion or even the eeros legacy mode which is supposed to help with older 2.4 Ghz. Does any chromecast connect to newer eeros 6 technology??? That's the question. Otherwise
