Chromecast with Google TV (HD) Ethernet Adaptor stopped connect

I have a Chromecast with Google TV (HD) with an Chromecast with Google TV Ethernet Adaptor. The Ethernet connection has stopped working. It connects OK over WiFi. In settings under Ethernet it says not connected and sometimes the whole Ethernet section in settings is missing. I have restarted the router and switch and I have swapped: The cable, the switch port, the Ethernet Adaptor and now the Chromecast (swapped using warranty) but the issue persists.

I have run out of ideas any help welcome.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. The fact that you’ve already replaced the actual Chromecast device (via warranty) and yet the issue still persists means it’s not a Chromecast device issue. It may be the actual Ethernet adapter for Chromecast with Google TV. It doesn’t usually come with the box and is sold separately, so it has its own warranty under accessories. If it’s still within warranty, then you can reach out to our support team for a replacement here: Contact Us. You may choose the option of a live chat or a callback from a live representative. We can also send you a form if you prefer communication via email. If it’s not covered by warranty anymore, then you can purchase an Ethernet adapter for Chromecast with Google TV in the Google Store.

Hello 

 

Thanks I had replaced the Ethernet adapter.

I have managed to get things working by turning off all the WiFi options and waiting.

Definitely unsure what was going on
