We recently purchased a Chromecast with Google TV 4K.
I'm having problems with the initial set up. The remote will not respond to the TV.
I've re-set the Chromecast, both by button and unplugging.
I've tried re-pairing the remote to the Chromecast. I've tried different batteries in the remote. I can only turn off the TV with the remote. After several minutes Netflix, freevee and Hulu adds and features re displaying, so it appears to be connecting to the internet.
On the initial power on the screen displays "What's new on Fire TV". "Security and bug fixes".
"This release includes security fixes for FireTV, in addition to non-security updates and bug fixes".
The remote will not respond to any key to continue except for TV power.

Hi @lookoutpapa
Looks like you are looking at the wrong device that is connected to your TV.
If the screen displays something about the Fire TV you are connected to an Amazon device.
The Google TV does not have any Fire TV updates or whatsoever.
Please check if you are using the Google TV device and the right HDMI channel on your TV. 🤗
