Google's Seamless Setup via Home app disabled in newest update

I have been using Chromecast with Google TV on my Android Phone (Xiaomi Mi 10T) in Pakistan since it’s launch. I never had problems with the performance associated with it.

However, When I received December’s QTS1.210311.036 update, I factory reset it as the device was acting a little slow, so I wanted a fresh install. Unfortunately, since that day I have been unable to setup my device via Google home.

The problem is NOT related to Bluetooth or WiFi connection. Infact, Chromecast device connects with my phone and wifi successfully, it even shows the message to setup the rest of the steps from the Google’s Home app.

The issue starts with when I complete all of the steps on the Google’s Home app, and after getting the notification that the setup is completed, NOTHING WORKS as the Chromecast device doesn’t show the message that the setup is completed.

Then, I must complete the rest of the steps (App selection, product agreements, etc.) through the remote manually to get the homescreen.

For resolving the problem, I used these troubleshooting:

  1. Hard Reset the device

  2. Uninstalled and then uninstalled the Home app

  3. Tried with deleting all of my devices on the Google Home app.

  4. Restarted the phone and router multiple times.
