Hi.
Since Chromecast remote is not a learning one and you select the device based on a readily available list, I was wondering where does that list come from and is there a way to suggest additions to it?
The problem is that I'm using a Topping brand pre-amp/DAC with my TV, connected to active speakers and I'd like to control the volume with Chromecast remote. I wrote to Topping support to ask if they comply to some known set of remote codes used by some other manufacturer and the answer was no. They did provide the codes they use but I can't do anything with them. I believe they use the same codes for all their products.
The list I got was as follows:

Hey there jjo,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! The best way to let Google know what devices and codes you'd like to see added to the Chromecast devices is to submit feedback via Google TV. That way Google knows which devices are in demand, and they can get to work updating that list.
I hope that helps you out! If you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran
