How to select correct microphone for Google Meet calls?

I have a webcam with microphone and Bluetooth conference speaker/microphone connected to Chromecast TV 4K.

I'd like to use the webcam just for video and BT conference speaker/mic for audio.

The problem is that I cant find a place where I can select the microphone that I'd like to use. Google Meet or Chromecast always selects the microphone with USB-connection. Which is the webcam microphone. So the BT-speaker works for audio-out but when webcam mic is used for audio-in and it's too far away. Nobody can't hear me or us good enough.

Is there a way to select the used microphone to another one (BT-conference mic in my case) when there is two microphones connected to Chromecast TV?

PS. The conference speaker/mic works when I disconnect the webcam but then I loose the video too. 😕

PPS. If there were a webcam w/o microphone... But I haven't found one yet.

I am having the exact same issue. It seems like there is no way to select the IN or OUT audio device in Google Meet on Chromecast (all latest updates are installed).

My webcam (which contain a mic I DO NOT want to use) is connected by USB to the Chromecast and a BT speaker/microphone is connected to the Chromecast (Anker PowerConf S500).

But when I start a Google Meet conference the microphone from the USB Webcam is picked. While the audio output correctly goes to the BT speaker, its microphone is unused.

The Anker S500 speaker works well since when connecting it via USB (not Bluetooth), both the audio output and microphone works well during a Google Meet conference.

I am pretty sure this is a software only limitation and that it will be addressed in future updates?

Hello folks,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm afraid there's no option to select which microphone to be used when using the Chromecast with Google TV. Also, since the setup that you're trying to do isn't officially supported with Chromecast with Google TV (4K), this may or may not work.

We're always looking for ways to improve our products and its features and we'll take this as feedback. You can also send feedback about this via Google TV. Here's how.

Let me know if you have other questions and concerns otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.
