Hi @Fadymaher

There are a few things you can try to fix your Chromecast that's stuck on the "You're connected to wifi" message during setup:

Basic Checks:

  • Proximity: Make sure your Chromecast is within 15-20 feet (4-6 meters) of both your phone or tablet and your Wi-Fi router. Physical distance can interfere with the setup process.
  • Restart Devices: Turn off and unplug your Chromecast, router, and modem for 30 seconds. Then, plug them back in one at a time, waiting for each device to fully boot up before moving to the next (modem first, then router, then Chromecast).

App and Phone:

  • Google Home App: Try force closing and reopening the Google Home app. You can also uninstall and reinstall the app completely.
  • Different Device: If possible, try setting up the Chromecast with a different phone or tablet.

Network:

  • Wi-Fi Band: Some Chromecast models might not support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. Try temporarily switching your router to broadcast a 2.4 GHz network only to see if that helps.
  • Local Network Access: On iPhones, ensure "Local Network Access" is enabled for the Google Home app in your Settings > Bluetooth.

Chromecast Reset:

  • Factory Reset: If none of the above work, you can try resetting your Chromecast to factory settings. The reset button location varies depending on the model you have. You'll usually need to hold the button for a specific amount of time (refer to the Chromecast manual or a quick online search for your model).
