Preview screen "blacks out" or jumps back to Start with Fast Forward or Rewind of recording

I have the latest version of ChromeCast & use it on Google TV.   My biggest issue is that when I play a recording (from Library) about half the time the little preview screen will black out and not show where the recording is during Fast Forward or Rewind.  Also, toward the end of the recording it will jump back to the beginning.

I've checked for updates and rebooted, so that did not help.   I've got a very strong wi-fi signal too.  I can do a video of it if that would help.  Any ideas would be appreciated.   Other than that, I like Google TV.   Thanks.  ... Tom ...

Hey there TomHam,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for your patience on this! This does sound like a known bug that's been around for a while now. If you get the chance, would you be able to submit feedback via Google TV to let the engineering team know you are experiencing this bug? Every bit of feedback they get helps them out immensely.

The information I'm getting back from Google TV is that this is a known problem and asked me to submit a "feedback" issue via the app itself.

So, look like there is not much that the user base can do except to continue to draw attention to it to prioritize a fix.   Thanks for the follow up though.  Cheers !          ..............  Tom  .............
