Second time I am posting. My remote jumps around, I go down it may down 20 times instead of 1 time. I thought it was the remote, I replaced the remote, same, I replaced the remote + chromecast, same issue. I tried to contact tech support, nothing, no way to do it, just this forum. No one ever responds, very frustrating. I have a ton of Roku's but I like the interface of google TV better but this issue makes it unusable. I guess I can return at least the one that I just bought recently but I do not understand why it happens on a totally new unit as well. Can't be a hardware problem. Ugh, frustrated at it, frustrated at the lack of support!

I apologize for the late response, and thank you for being patient! This is a strange issue for sure, and it may be occurring because of the Chromecast not being fully supported with your TV. Regardless, there are a couple of things we can try. First, if you are using HDMI-CEC as your remote control option, try setting it to IR instead. An alternative solution may be using the virtual remote in the Google Home app to see if the same problem occurs.
