Remote no longer works

My Google Chromecast remote is no longer per working. I purchased it at Target in May 2022. I tried replacing the batteries and the light keeps pulsing. The assistant button works but nothing else. I'm not sure if it's still under warranty.

Hi @MarylandMadam 

Try a factory reset to the remote and see if that helps.

  1. (Optional) Check that the batteries in your Chromecast voice remote have charge remaining.
  2. Remove the batteries from the remote. 
  3. Press and hold the Home button. 
  4. While holding the Home button, reinsert the batteries. 
  5. Hold the button while the LED light is solid. 
  6. When the light starts pulsing, release the button.

If that doesn't revive your remote you may want to check with Google on the warranty situation. See options: Contact Us

Thanks for trying those steps. Could you also try resetting your Chromecast with Google TV? If the issue persists, fill out this form so that we can check for other options.
