Tv won’t turn off

Set up 4k Chromecast and everything works fine until I turn it off. The Chromecast will turn off with the remote, but the tv will not.

Thanks for reaching out. Please try to reboot your Chromecast. Also, remove and re-add your TV and set up again the buttons on your Chromecast Voice then try again.

No. Did them twice. No idea what to do.

Yikes! Could you please try to plug in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV? Also, try to plug in the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) on a different TV screen, if one is available.

If the issue persists, factory reset your Chromecast with Google TV (4K).

Disconnected everything including the tv, rebooted and started over. Works.
