When my tv is off for a while the speed drops to 1 mbps the only solution is to unplug for 30 seconds sometimes even that doesn’t work
I have a strong internet connection yet I don’t understand what’s going on
I heard people say the Wi-Fi chip on this device is awful
I really hope they manage to fix this flaw with some software update
Any suggestions would highly be appreciated

Check your Chromecast device energy saving settings.

so basically what I did today was to set up a hotspot on my windows laptop using my Wi-Fi
I connected my Chromecast to the hotspot and I’m getting like far better speeds even if I turn of the tv for a while
I’ve been testing this for a while and no issues
idk if I fixed the problem lol
this is so strange cuz my Wi-Fi gets more speed on other devices compared to my hotspot

Your not alone mine is doing the same thing and I just got it two days ago. It’s frustrating watching tv. I tried everything and nothing works. I gave up and went back to my brothers Amazon fire tv.

Dude try using a different Wi-Fi network or connect it to a hotspot from ur laptop or ur phone
seems to resolve the issue on my end

I never experienced this kind of behaviour on my Chromecast device and it is on all the time.

Chromecast with Google TV. It is on for nine months, it's running the latest software version and it's powered directly from the main power grid.

The problem still hasn’t been solved with my original Wi-Fi tho
I wish I knew the reason for this problem

No problem, I would check out this guide on troubleshooting your Chromecast connection. It has a list of steps that you can follow that should improve the quality of your connection.
Let me know if that helps out, or if you run into any trouble during the process.
Best regards,
Jeran

It’s still not working and I don’t have a hot spot. Is there a Chrome cat number I call call?

Hey there Placoy3366,
Sure thing! Here is the way to contact Chromecast support by phone. It will just ask you for the issue you are having, suggest some articles to help, then provide the options for calling, getting a call, or chatting via online chat.
I hope that helps!
Best regards,
Jeran

It still don’t work. Very disappointed. I am just going back to Roku. I really like it when it works. Thank you for trying to help me. It’s a lost cause.

I'm really sorry we couldn't get the device working for you, I understand your position, as I would feel the same way. Are there any other questions or concerns that we could address in the meantime?
