Updating the app "Chromecast built-in" fails

I saw that the Google play store offers an update for the Chromecast function, but this update fails:

 

Does anyone has the same issue?

I used adb to capture logcat data and saw this in the log for chromecast app (com.google.android.apps.mediashell):

So, even the device had over 1GB free storage, this was not enough to update the app. I removed some apps to free space, tried to update Chromecast and it worked.

I'm glad you were able to look at some device logs and figure out the issue! It's interesting that there wasn't an error message displayed saying that there was insufficient storage. Regardless, do you have any more questions or need any additional help with anything?
