YouTube app plays immediately on start

Hello, nearly every time I start the YT app on the CCWGTV the last video or a recent video begins playing from the beginning.  How do I fix this?

I love that YouTube is a service that I pay for and there's virtually no customer support.

Sorry for the delayed response on this issue. This is the community forum for Chromecast with Google TV, not YouTube support, unfortunately. We'd be able to help with if the issue was isolated to the Chromecast device, however, since this issue would reside within the YouTube app, you'd want to check out the YouTube Community Forum and Help Center.
