Hi. I have a chromecast tv 4k in my living room. I also have a google clock in my master’s bedroom. my living room and master’s bedroom is right next to each other.
when i speak to the remote of my chomecast 4k, my clock and tv chromecast both respond simultaneously, even though im not in the my masters bedroom which is where the clock is.
how do i get rid of the clock responding?
tia
they are both under the same wifi, obviously.

Hi there!
Thanks for posting. If both devices respond to your voice, this indicates that you have them associated with a Google Assistant group. To solve this inconvenience, we must remove the smart clock or your Chromecast from the group previously mentioned.
Have a look at this guide: Group your Google Assistant devices
Keep me posted.
Best regards,
Obed

Hi!
Thanks! But I don’t even have a speaker group set up.
What’s happening?

Hi folks,
Appreciate your help here, @Obedv.
@car4t_007, thanks for the reply. Did you initiate a trigger phrase (Hey Google and/or OK Google) when you gave the command using the Chromecast Voice Remote? Most Google Assistant devices activate when the trigger phrase is heard, given that the microphone is turned on. If you did, I suggest that you try giving the command directly upon pressing and holding the Google Assistant button on the remote. The Google Assistant button itself triggers it, so there’s no need to say Hey Google or OK Google to avoid triggering other devices.
I hope this answers your question. Let us know if you still have other concerns.
Thanks,
Kimy
