iPad / iPhone not connecting to chromecast, while androidphone is

Hello,

I set up my chromecast using a iPad. After setup I can select the device in the Home-app, but there is no cast or mirroring-options. On my Samsung phone with Android on the other hand it works instantly. On my wife’s iphone I get the message that the chromecast is offline or not connected to the same WiFi.
I tried several  things on the appledevices:

- Check the wifi: all device (phones, ipads and chromecast) are connected to the same WiFi.

- Location is on

- Local netwerk for Google home is enabled

- Private relay is off

- no vpn

- rebooted iPad

- set chromecast back to factorysettings and started set up again from the beginning.

I don’t know want to try anymore. Any suggestions are welcome. Many  thanks in advance!

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear about this situation with your Google Chromecast. No worries, help is here! Please take a look at this article Troubleshoot Chromecast connection. It contains some more troubleshooting steps you can try.
