3 rd generation thermostats can't connect to the iPhone nest app(restart, reset did not help)

I have three 3rd generation thermostats. For the 1st time the nest app on iPhone can't connect to any of them. The Nest App on the thermostats displays "Connected", therefore I can't get the key entry. I do not want to do the factory reset for now unless it is my only option. I did restart and reset each thermostat individually without any result. What do you recommend?

Is the problem with the Nest app software on iPhone - should I remove and reinstall this app?

Hi @ladobi

Can you still see your thermostats in the app? If so, they show as offline?

Hi,

I can't see my thermostats in the app on iPhone, but they show connected. As I pointed out in my title, the thermostat reset did not change anything.

Thank you

Hi folks,

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m sorry to hear your three Nest Learning Thermostats (3rd gen) are showing as "Connected" on the device but aren't appearing in your iPhone's Nest app. I understand how important it is for you to control your devices remotely. I appreciate you confirming the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far. I'm happy to assist.

@David_K, Thanks for jumping in.

To gather the necessary information, please answer the following question:

  • Are you using the same Nest account as your previous device?

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards,

Derick.
