Hello, I noticed my thermostat was off and kept restarting saying “The thermostat is restarting. Be back in a bit.” It would do this over and over again so finally I called support and they told me charge the display for an hour and repeat the process. They eventually said the display could no longer hold a battery. The solution..they “recommended” I purchase a whole new thermostat for $250+. I told them I had the thermostat for less than 2 years. This isn’t our fault, it appears there is a defect and I don’t think it’s fair to tell me to buy a whole new system when this one is not that old. You mean to say that I have to replace a nest thermostat every couple of years? That’s ridiculous if you ask any home owner. Very unhappy and not satisfied with their policy.
