Adding doorbell to google home app fails at last step

I am trying to add a doorbell to the Google Home app. I have successfully added three cameras with no issues. I follow the add a device steps, and scan the QR code, it then goes through the normal steps but at the end fails with a message that it was unsuccessful with no hint as to why. Wifi is working and my app is talking to the installed cameras. Any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, how far is your Nest Doorbell from your Wi-Fi router? What is the signal strength of your Wi-Fi from your Nest Doorbell? What is the light status of it? Try restarting your Nest Doorbell and your Wi-Fi router. Let us know how it goes.
