I use Google home everyday to stream a radio station and it never gave me any problem with the command to "stop streaming" at the end of the day. I also use Google home for streaming an internet station often and almost every time when I ask it to stop streaming, it stops for a few minutes, then it starts streaming again. I have double checked my activity history and has no doubt that Google home heard me correctly. Every time. Why does it do that seemingly only to this internet station but not the other radio station?

Yep. Me too.
What have Google done to change something that worked seamlessly before. Seems a backward step to me

it's really annoying as i would have just told Google to stop streaming before going to sleep, and then it wakes me up minutes later

After almost an hour on the chat with Google support. No closer to a solution. Their latest suggestion is to totally hard reset the device and set up again.
I've already reset the router and powered off the device. No change.
It does feel like something has changed in the software and how it controls the hardware in some recent push of the firmware. But doubt anyone at Google will be willing to put their hand up and take responsibility to fix it.
Disappointing service for me

Hi folks,
Warmest welcome from the Community team @YMak and @Gaz1!
Having to play any music from radio stations or any other platforms is one of our mainstay and I don't want you experiencing this kind of concerns any longer. Let me ask some questions first to narrow things down. What Nest speakers do you use? Does it happen on specific stations? Have you tried other music platforms like YouTube? Try it since its free and tell me how it goes.
Best,
Dan

I use tune-in app for radio and apple music. I don't use you-tube music (don't see the point of testing with something I don't use). The same on a google Home Mini and a Google Home Max.

Hey there,
I hear you! Why don't we try to change the sensitivity of your Home Mini when it hears the trigger word "Hey, Google!". Click this link and follow the steps.
Keep me posted.
Regards,
Dan

Thanks Dan. Because that's not the issue. The command is heard just fine. But Google processes this as a pause rather than a stop. To remove pause I have to go into the app and open the device, then select stop streaming.

I use a google home mini (before the nest) and the default app when activating streaming via my routines is tune-in.
At the end of the day i usually say "Hey Google, stop streaming please" same tone, same pitch, same speed.
The station that is always fine and never failed is called "new classical fm" and the station that i have been having problem with is called "Whispering solo piano".
With this second station, after i have politely asked it to stop once, it would stop while I was within earshot, and I know Google has definitely heard me correctly as documented on my activity history. But minutes later it would start on its own, and repeatedly I had to "yell" at google and say "I TOLD YOU TO STOP STREAMING". And then it would stop the streaming for good. This never happens with the first station named above.
