Aladdin Connect Auth fail error.

Cannot add Aladdin Connect app to Google Home. AUTH fail error on sign in. Asks for a pin. Pretty sure it is correct.  Positive the username and password is correct

Running into same error. Called Aladdin and they mentioned they had not heard of this error. Sent in screenshots, waiting to hear back

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you're having issues linking Aladdin Connect to the Google Home app. To confirm, have you tried using a different phone/tablet? Also, have you tried updating the password on the native app?

 

It appears that the issue is related to the Aladdin Connect portal link. If updating the password did not resolve the issue, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer so they can investigate the problem since our partner apps are responsible for maintaining their portals.

I have tried using multiple devices, changed password multiple times and have no problem logging into the app itself, just Google cannot log into Aladdin to set it up. I have also changed pin multiple times and called Genie Support   "Alaiddin connect" and they say if you can connect with the their app the problem is with Google home app. Please help

I am still at a loss as to why I cannot sync my aladdin account with Google home. Still have no problem with login to aladdin and all functionality with that app. I have changed my google pin code 3 times. No help

How did you change your pin #?

I think the Genie Aladdin Connect server is down. I was able to add it to another smart home device a month ago, and I cannot add it to Nest and ADT security system now. I tried resetting my password and cannot even reset it. I logged out from the Aladdin Connect app and cannot log back in. I am very sure my password is correct. It should be their issue. If it is not solved in a few days, I will go with smartQ instead.

Somehow after a few days of waiting, the login server is back. Then I was able to connect my Aladdin account with either ADT or Nest. Most likely just the server issue from Aladdin. I did not make any changes during the waiting.

Still have no answer to my failure

Apologies for the delay! For confirmation, is the error message that you provided from your Google Home app or from Aladdin Connect itself? Have you had the chance to reach out to them to gain more information and troubleshooting steps? Google Home and Nest devices rely heavily on the functions and features of third-party devices, accounts, apps, and portals.

I have actually seen the same error for over a year trying to link my account to Google Home. I haven't had any issues with the Genie Connect app itself, or with linking other services to Google Home. There's something about this specific link that is significantly broken and has been for a long time. Same exact authentication failure every time.

Yes cannot get it to authenticate with Google assistant.  I can use android Bixby and have voice commands with that. Authentication works with that app.  I have tried a few other apps online and many come up with that exact error as google. I am sure the problem is with the aladdin server. Talked to them got nowhere.

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the delay. A few questions: are you using Android or iOS? Is the Google Home app updated? Also, what troubleshooting steps have you taken? You can reinstall the Google Home app and observe if it makes a difference.

This is on Android and has happened across multiple versions of Google Home and trying to set up on multiple devices. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Google Home app a few times, including unenrolling from the beta program (which I was happy to remove myself from because the current version of the Google Home app is such a downgrade, but that's a problem for another thread). I have seen that there's a new update scheduled for the Genie app coming next week, but I have no reason to believe it will fix the integration with Google Home.

Exact error on many voice control apps. Bixby is the only app genie will work on for me, but would love to have it incorporated in my google assistant like everything else in the house

Thanks for posting. It appears that this is isolated to Aladdin Connect only. The partner itself manages the URL portal used to link partners in the Google Home app. Issues encountered when linking a partner (home control) should be directed to that home automation partner for support. Partners are expected to support the integration of their products with Google Nest and Home devices.

Finally got resolution to my problem.  Genie updated the software and changed servers. No longer getting Auth failures
