Hi, I bought these 3 cam back in Australia and now I am thinking about bring them to US and use them in USA, are these compatible or any surprises do we need to know before plan on bringing them? Thank you

I live in Australia received a Google Nest Hub Max from the US as part of a giveaway and it works perfectly, so I can't see a problem with Google devices going in the opposite direction.

Are the cameras solar powered or do you have to recharge the batteries? Voltage requirements would be my concern. But if its 110V to 240V you should be OK with a travel adaptor.

thank you that helps, i need check on the charger that i received in Australia can it work with 110V in the US if not need to buy an adapter

Hi sirimp9,

Thanks for posting in the community, and to @SmartHomeH-TAGS for jumping in! I understand you'd like to bring your three Nest Cam outdoor or indoor (battery) units, which were purchased in Australia, to the USA. I'll be glad to help you with the information you need!

I don't recommend using your nest Nest Cam outdoor or indoor (battery) in a different country than where it was purchased.

  1. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, moving from one country to another can cause complications with billing and services.
  2. Nest cameras and doorbells are optimized to work best with specific Wi-Fi standards depending on where they were sold. This means that your device might experience decreased performance if you move it to a different country, and it might not comply with regulations there.

Please check out our helpful article to learn more about it: Move your camera or doorbell to another room, home, or country

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to post them on this forum!

Best regards,
Juan
