Automatisierung nest mini 2

Keiro

Vielen Dank!

Hello @Keiro,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you are trying to recreate a time-triggered "Good Morning" routine on your new Nest Mini (2nd generation), but you are currently unable to find the setting to specify the list of news channels (like WDR, Tagesschau, etc.) that should be played. You are correct that this feature was straightforward in the past. Let me help you to set up your routine again.

The list of news channels is configured under your Assistant settings, separate from the routine creation process itself. The routine simply plays the sources you set here.

Part 1: Configuring Your Default News Sources (The Missing List)

  • Open the Google Home app on your phone.
  • Tap your profile picture (or initial) in the top-right corner.
  • Tap Assistant settings.
  • Scroll down to the "Services" section and tap News.
  • On the News screen, look for news sources. This is where you can add, remove, and reorder your preferred news providers (e.g., WDR, Tagesschau).
  • Ensure your desired news sources are checked and ordered correctly.

Part 2: Creating the Time-Triggered Routine

Now that your news sources are configured, you can set up the routine to play that specific playlist.

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Routines (usually on the home screen or under the + Add button).
  • Tap + New routine.
  • Add starter: Select At a specific time or sunrise/sunset, set the time to 6:00 AM. Choose the days of the week.
  • Add action:
    • Add the action to switch on your lights.
    • Add an action to say your custom "Good morning" phrase.
    • Add the action: Tap Manage media—Play news.
  • Tap Save.

The routine will automatically use the list of news sources you configured in Part 1.

Please try the steps in Part 1 first, as that is the setting you were likely missing. Let me know if you are now able to find and specify your list of news channels!

Regards,

Kevin
