Bought a home in June 2025. It came with a Nest 2nd gen Nest thermostat. Haven’t received promotion e-mail for an upgrade. Called Nest help and was told that because the thermostat wasn’t on my account in March I am ineligible.
I would have to provide a video of the prior home owner disconnecting the thermostat and a video of me connecting the thermostat, which is a little ridiculous.
I asked about any other information that could be provided and was told only the videos would suffice. When I tried to escalate I was told by the help agent that they had made the decision and it was final.
Anyone else have this issue? If so how did you resolve it?
Really disappointed in the customer service on this.
