Can’t add my contact to Google home

Please help, I can’t add myself (my contact) to my nest hub so my kids can call me.  They used to be able too.  Now they can’t.

  • Could you please list the steps that you follow to add yourself as a contact?
  • Are your Nest Hub and Google Home app up to date?
  • Did you receive an error message on your Nest Hub or Google Home app when trying to add your contact?
  • Are you the creator of the Home structure in the Google Home app?

I don’t know the model, I bought it several years ago. It’s the best hub max.   And I went to Google home went to communications and clicked add contacts. It shows my own contact but I’m not able to click on it. It does nothing

  • Are you signed into your Google Account on the Nest Hub Max? Are you using the same account across all linked devices?
  • Have you tried adding your contact directly on the Hub Max screen? Are you able to add contacts on other devices like a phone or tablet?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your account or device settings that might have impacted the contact syncing (such as switching accounts or resetting the device)?
  • Is your Google Nest Hub Max running the latest software version? Please verify if there are any updates available for the device.
  • Are you experiencing any Wi-Fi or connectivity issues that could be preventing syncing?
