Can't check Nest floodlight camera history on my computer

I'm not understanding why you STILL cannot view your camera footage history on a web browser with google home. I have a Google Nest flood light camera so, as you can view history on a web browser with nest, unfortunately, this camera isn't able to be on nest since it is one of the newer cameras. I'm so frustrated about it, makes no sense.. we had to make the transition to the google home app for the newer cameras and yet you don't have all the features nest.com offers. can you PLEASE add this feature!! I recently had somebody break into my vehicle and I desperately need to be able to view the footage on a bigger, more clear screen.

Hey everyone,

@GinamG, thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I wanted to check in and see if you still needed any help. Have you seen MplsCustomer’s response above? If yes, how was it?

While viewing the newer Nest cameras video history on a computer isn’t available, the best option is to download video clips from detected events in the video history. From there, you can share the video clip via email and view it on a computer. See details below:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices .
  3. Select your camera.
  4. Scroll to an event in your camera’s video history timeline. You can also tap Event history Event history button for a list of events.
  5. Choose the event you want, then tap Controls Menu.
  6. Tap Save clip to save the video clip to your phone.

Also, we love to hear your thoughts and requests. The best way to get your feedback or feature requests to the people who can make changes is to share feedback about Google Nest.

I appreciate your help, MplsCustomer.

All the best,

Lance

The beta "Public Preview" version of the home.google.com website has provided live-streaming ONLY ever since it first went live in October 2022 (see the blog post below).  It's unfortunate.

@Lance_L Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. That is a great idea in the meantime. Hoping this will reach Google so maybe one day they can add the features that the Nest app offers. Thanks so much again!
