Can’t find the setting i need

when I set up my doorbell (google battery) I set it up somehow to when someone pushed the door bell my kitchen lights come on and turn to a specific color. Sometimes im sleeping and don’t hear the doorbell so I loved the idea of being able to see that someone has made a delivery just from the light being turned on. 

well it’s been a while and I can’t seem to find the setting to change the color again. The animation still works tho which is super weird it’s not under my routines or animation tab. If anyone has any idea where I could find the setting at I would deeply appreciate some help.

Try going back to the previous automation set-up. They're both available to use simultaneously, but the new app doesn't have that option yet.

Go to the Google Home app > your profile picture > Home Settings > Google Assistant > Routines.

In the new setup I don’t have a Google assistant  tab I only have a tab for Gemini for home voice assistant tab. I went through all the tabs also looking for a routines tab but one does not exist.  I even tried making a new animation for when I get home and turning off the lights that turn on and that still didnt work. I’m actually about to just delete my whole home and start over again and make a whole new Google account because this makes no sense at all! Or just delete the app and get rid of all my Google devices all together and go to Alexa!

I don't have Gemini yet on my Home devices and I'll be putting it off for as long as I can.

I think Google just in a transition phase between the old and the new. Eventually (fingers crossed 🤞) that all features previously offered will be available on the new Google Home app (Gemini).

It would be a BONKERS CRAZY decision of Google not to include colour changing actions.

Have you tried a custom action? "Set Bedroom to red"

Na een flinke reeks verliezen wilde ik de handdoek in de ring gooien, maar toen zag ik een advertentie voorbij komen tijdens het scrollen. Ik dacht, vooruit, nog één poging wagen op de poker tafels. Tot mijn verbazing draaide mijn geluk volledig om en won ik genoeg om mijn hele vakantie naar de Veluwe te financieren. Via slotrush  heb ik nu een fijne balans gevonden tussen spanning en ontspanning. Het voelt allemaal erg eerlijk en direct aan.

I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. I know how difficult it is when you try to set one up, but it still doesn't work. I'm glad to help you.

I recommend trying the 'Help me create' feature powered by Gemini. It makes setting up home automations much easier. In the Google Home app, you can simply describe what you want the system to do, and it will generate the automation for you. You can then customize it further before saving.
